PILATES vs YOGA

Pilates

 

It is proven to condition the core muscles of everyone, especially who has low back pain due to increased lordosis and anterior tilt. Pilates aims to strengthen the necessary muscles in the body, particularly on core which consists of diaphragm, pelvic floor muscles, transverse abdominis and multifidus, as well as others stabilizers in the joints. It is suitable to all ages of different level of ability and fitness, from beginner to elite athletes. Besides, it is a low impact but high metabolic form of exercise. Ben Physio & Rehab emphasize on core activation during functional activities throughout the day. Therefore, Pilates class in Ben Physio & Rehab is oriented by Ben’s approach and concept.

          Every Thurs 6.30pm

          Every Sat 1.30pm, 2.30pm

Yoga

 

Yoga involves physical and mental practice. Yoga is a safe and effective way to improve body’s physical function, especially flexibility and balance. It also focuses on breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing. It suits those who are #desk/computer bound white-collar workers, as well as those with #hypertonic and tensed body. Yoga in Ben Physio & Rehab teaches stretching for those easily tightened muscles to prevent body ache and pain.
