WHAT IS

MANUAL THERAPY?

A specialized form of physiotherapy delivered with hands as opposed to a device or machine.

Via myofascial release, practitioners use their hands to apply pressure on muscle tissues to decrease pain caused by muscle tension / spasm / cramp.

Also helpful in treating stiff joints by joint mobilization techniques. Poor range of motion often leads to muscles strain during activities.

A safe method applicable for pregnant ladies and elderly as well.

You may feel soreness post treatment. Drink more water after the physiotherapy session. Apply ice pack on treated area if necessary.

SPORTS MASSAGE

As part of comprehensive Rehabilitation, a Sports Massage prior your games stretches your muscles for better performance. A Sports Massage session after games helps to fasten the return of lactic acid into circulation for faster muscles recovery.

DIFFERENT BETWEEN SPORTS MASSAGE & PHYSIOTHERAPY?

Sports massage aims to fasten your recovery after games / activities by releasing the tension of muscles.

Sports massage does not correct or identify your root cause of injuries, whilst physiotherapist does.

You can consult sports massage every now and then, before and after your events for better muscles firing as well as better flexibility.
